"One of the most challenging projects I faced when I moved to Johnstown from the Philadelphia area was to find a hair stylist that understood how to cut men’s hair. My search was extremely frustrating since most 'stylists' were only familiar with what I call a 'basic barber cut.' No matter how much I explained how I wanted my hair styled; the result was always the same. I either looked like a child or my hair was cut so uneven that I couldn’t comb it into a manageable look. I thoroughly loved my day of self indulgence at Allante hair Design and Spa ! My husband purchased a gift certificate there after the birth of our son so that I could get some pampering after nine long months of pregnancy.. This was, believe it or not, my first time to a spa and I can assure you it won't be my last. My certificate entitled me to the Ocean Escape package, A full body massage, Manicure, Pedicure and Demalogica Treatment. I enjoyed every moment of my treatments, and love what the products have done for my skin. (I had malasma and acne from the hormonal changes and it has improved dramatically!) I was nervous not knowing what to expect, but was made very much at ease from the moment I walked in. My thanks to Rose Marie and Danniel I will be back"Pure Bliss

It felt very fresh and alive there and the people were wonderful. Once inside it is a very comfortable and natural setting. My experience in the spa was total bliss. I have been to many spas in the past and found this one to be the most relaxing to date. From the moment I was greeted and shown to the changing room. The feeling was very calm and time slowed. After changing into the robe and slippers provided in the large change room, I was given a choice of waiting to begin my treatment in the indoor or outdoor waiting areas. I chose to wait outside. Well this in itself was a treat. I was given a choice of water or tea, and then given a cozy blanket to wrap myself in while a warmed foot bath was brought for me. In the footbath were marbles so you could give yourself a mini foot massage Mmmm while either reading the numerous magazines available or taken in the spectacular view of the outdoor garden. The service I had chosen was called the "Aroma Stone Therapy Massage and Aromatic Body Polish ". It was 2hrs of pure bliss. Come on girls you know what I am talking about.I am planning a spa trip with one of my girlfriends for summer 2008 as this was the most wonderful spa experience I have had to date most notably because of the ambiance and how special the staff made the client feel." I have to admit, I have flaws, as we all do, but in the endless pursuit of perfection, we all attempt to be flawless - at least in our complexion. This has been my goal since my first pimple in middle school and more recently, the bevy of freckles on my face, which I attempt to masque as cute (not sun damage). I went to Allante Hair Design & Spa on a friend's recommendation and was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere and the knowledge of the staff. They were so approachable and gave me a great consultation on how to treat my sun damage and acne scars. I was hooked. I had to do something. First stop - relaxing facial. It was perfect. It actually lasted for over an hour (vs. all those other places that start the clock the second you get in the door) and was the right mix of extractions and a hand and foot massage.. I would definitely recommend Allante Hair Design & Spa to friends. They're nice, pampering and professional. Way better than any spa or doctor I've been to."Wonderful Spa

I have been a client of Allante Hair Design and Spa for 10 years, as well as an assistant to a cosmetic surgeon (so you understand why I need to relax. I have literally traveled the world, had the most luxurious massages and facial treatments on Earth, and none has surpassed the quality of results I have received at Allante. Tucked quietly away in neighborhood, it's hard to believe that a place like this is so close to us in Greensburg Pa Rose Marie has been cutting and styling my hair for the past decade and no one knows hair like Rose, she is the best when it comes to cuts and color especially 2 colors. I wish she would do my hair every morning before work  . First, facials with Rose Marie - you'd never know how knowledgeable and accomplished Rose Marie is when you encounter her friendly down-to-Earth demeanor, and when she gets her hands on you, and you melt away from her touch. Her extractions leave me completely clear without the standard nail marks, and her knowledge and honest approach to skin care surpasses most doctors (I know, I am one :)) Danniel has an amazing balance of warmth and intention behind her work- she payed such attention to detail, she told me things I didn't know about my body (she immediately noticed my left hip was lower than my right, I never knew!), and manages to leave me feeling like I can do backflips and sleep for 12 hours all at the same time. She is my personal favorite. I’m always very satisfied with my massage. I have yet to have a massage here that didn't excel my expectations. The ambience is very mellow, without a theme or distractions. It's rather plane, but sophisticated. Much nicer than you would expect. If this place had a hot tub, I may move in. but that’s hardly keeping me from making the drive."First Class and down to earth

ROSE MARIE is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down the most in depth consultation I have had from any salon in a long time. I was greated at the door very openly and friendly, Escorted to the waiting area which I must say is simply amazing.Very homey and the couches are extreamly comfortable.I then was taken on a tour of the faciity and got my eyes opened when they opened the back door to the Patio and the gardens. WOW!!!!!!! never seen a salon have such manicured landsape and patio that is there fo clients to relax. I have to get a kick out of the beutiful pond they have in their gardens.It even has fish in it. First Class my all means. I was then shampood by one of Rose Maries assistants and then asked if they could get me anything to drink. Rose Marie went thru the consultation with me with a fine tooth comb. After working her magic and showed me what to do and the products she recomended I was ready to check out. I have to say I booked my next 4 apointments that day with with Rose Marie since she is usuallly booked cause she travels extensively thru Europe for education to bring back to her clients, She has been cutting my hair now going on 4 years and have to say that has to be one of the best things I have ever done was pick the phone up and call. I highly recomend Allante' and I have had massages there also that are out of this world. Ask for Daniel. People think I'm crazy when I say I travel from Florida to Greensburg, Pennsylvania to get my hair cut, but it's worth every bit! You are the only one who can get my layers right. A good haircut makes all the difference. My hair even looks good when I get out of bed in the morning! That's why I travel 1000 miles for the best hairdresser I have ever had! We visited Allantè as a girl's day out for four of us before a wedding. It was extremely inviting, we felt at ease from the moment we entered and enjoyed our entire visit. The Spa Pedicure was wonderful and relaxing. The staff was friendly and talkative. We will definitely go back. We were never rushed and everyone made sure we were relaxed.

I recieved a spafinder GC for my birthday and found Allantè obviously through the spafinder site. It was near my house so I decided to go celebrate a couple months late. My GC was for $125 so I decided to get a french spa pedi and customized facial. I have been to the spa plenty of times but never had a facial because I have sensitive skin which unfortunately is covered in adult acne. The facial blew me away, one treatment amazed me. My therapist Mandi told me they used a brand called Dermalogica(which I am now in love with) for skin care and that I should recieve extractions and a charcoal mask. My face looked amazing and I've been keeping up with the products at home and I am so surprised that after only a few weeks how much clearer my skin is. I ended up not only leaving with a bagful of products but also a 12 session facial package. I can't wait for next months treatment. My only complaint was the woman who did my pedicure, I forget her name, was nice but I wish she would have tried to talk with me more during my service. I find it more relaxing to chit chat and I felt that she was concentrating too much on the service being done and not enough on the customer.

"I have been to many different salons and spas in the Pittsburgh area and I have never had such a great experience as I did at Allante. I am very busy with 3 children all under the age of 5 and I like to take a day just for me (even though I hate to say that :) ). From the time I walked in the doors I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. I was greeted right away by a very friendly young woman who offered me coffee, water, or tea and offered to hang up my jacket. They took me on a tour of the facilities, which were beautiful. They have hand painted Italian murals on the walls of the salon that were gorgeous. I started my day with a Dermalogica customized facial and a full body Aromatherapy massage. I have never felt so comfortable and rested, my body felt like Gumby and my day was not over. I went upstairs and had a Gardenia spa pedicure and manicure. The girls who worked on me were so friendly and I had a great conversation with them. They really seemed to care, it was like talking to old friends instead of complete strangers. They even took time to take a look at my children's pictures with me. The only dissappointing part I had through my whole visit is the time whenever I realized it was time for me to go. The staff did not rush me out which I really appreciated. I hate the feeling some spas give you of being on a conveyor belt. I had one of the best days in awhile at Allantè, I for once could truly relax and just enjoy a day where I could breathe. I went to Allantè because my husband bought me a gift certificate for my birthday and I will continue to go to Allantè because of the amazing time I had there."5 out of 5

"My wife bought me a gift certificate from Allante Hair Design and Spa for my birthday I was hesitate on going because I never been to a spa. But I thought I would give it a try. When I arrived at the spa and walked in I was greeted and treated like I was the most important client they had! The Staff went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable, relaxed and enjoy my visit.
I received a Spa manicure that was great especially the hot wax, they wrapped my hands in. It made them feel wonderful and soft and may have even help a little with my arthritis in the joints. Then I received my pedicure (Allantè Spa Pedicure) I must say this felt great. It was time for my facial (European Men’s Facial) I never had this done and it was wonderful Rose Marie did my facial she is very knowledgeable when it comes to skin care she talk to me about all the products she was using on me and what would be best for my skin. I even purchased a few dermalogica products to keep me looking good. Now I know why the women go to these places, they are wonderful and I would highly recommend the Allante Hair Design and Spa. The Staff is very professional and knowledgeable in all areas. I am looking forward to my next visit. I would like to thank them all for a well done job."

"I just had the best massage ever... and let me tell you... that is saying something! My massage therapist was incredible! I felt like the treatment was customized just for me! My Facial: I went in for my standard monthly facial but got so much more. The staff is so friendly and professional but I still felt at ease while I was there.
